Are you planning on purchasing a full lace wig? Premium full lace wigs made with human hair offer complete hair coverage and a silky texture you will surely love.
However, it is important to take proper care of your full lace wig to ensure that it stays in great condition. Thankfully, they are rather easy to care for. With the proper care and storage, you can keep your wigs in a ready-to-put-on shape.
In this article, we will run you through the tips you will need to properly care for your full lace wig.
Just like your normal hair or hair extensions, applying extreme heat can damage the ends and dry out the cuticles of your wig. Avoid any heat tools, such as hairdryers, that can cause damage that is hard to repair.
Even if you are not styling your wig with heating tools, make sure it is away from heat sources in storage. Whether it is on a wig head or kept in a cabinet, make sure it is away from heat sources such as a heat vent where it can be damaged by heat over time.
When you are wearing your full lace wig, you may also want to avoid prolonged heat exposure.
You need to be extra careful when combing out the hair on the wig. Despite being secure in a lace base, you still need to take precautions to prevent the hair from getting loose. Start brushing from the ends of the hair to the top and avoid getting too close to the lace base.
Just like your normal hair, a wig requires regular washing. Although we don’t recommend using hair products, such as hair spray, on your full lace wig, you need to make sure you gently wash it if you do put it on your wig.
One simple way to wash your wig, is to add a tablespoon of shampoo to a small spray bottle and fill it with lukewarm water. Place your wig on a mannequin head or other mount and rinse the wig in cool water. Spray the wig with your shampoo and warm water solution.
Use a wide-toothed comb to distribute the shampoo throughout the hair. Rinse it under cool water for a second time and get ready to apply the conditioner.
Like the shampoo solution, just add a tablespoon of conditioner to a new spray bottle and work the conditioner solution into your wig.
Gently rinse the wig under cool water for the third time. Use a t-shirt to gently dry the wig and then, after getting most of the water out,let it dry naturally.
Make sure not to rub the strands together and to always pat dry to prevent hair breakage.
Full lace human hair wigs are great for complete hair coverage that looks natural and silky. With the proper care, you can easily maintain these wigs and keep them looking soft and natural.
Caring for a full lace wig of human hair can be similar to caring for your natural hair. Although they are durable and securely attached to the lace base, it is still important to take extra care to prevent loosening the strands.
