When You Want To Wash Your Raw Hair Bundles, Do This

    Hey, beauties! 🌟

Today, I want to take you behind the scenes and show you how I care for our gorgeous raw Indian hair bundles that just arrived from India. These bundles are absolutely stunning, and with the right care, they’ll last you for years to come. Whether you’re rocking a weave, wig, or extensions, treating your raw hair bundles just like your natural hair is key to keeping them looking flawless.

If you prefer to watch the video, check it out here.

Step 1: Choose the Right Shampoo

For this wash, I’m using Design Essentials shampoo, but there are so many fantastic Black-owned brands out there that would work wonders on this hair—Mielle Organics, Alikay Naturals, Urban Hydration, and Oyin Handmade, just to name a few. The goal is to keep your hair hydrated and healthy, just like you would with your own hair.

    Step 2: Detangle and Prep

Before you start washing, always detangle your bundles starting from the bottom and working your way up. Trust me, it makes all the difference. Look at how beautifully these waves fall right out of the box—no shedding, no tangles, just pure perfection.

    Step 3: Wash with Care

I used to wash one bundle at a time, but now I like to do two at once to save time. Wet the hair thoroughly and then apply a small amount of shampoo, working it into the hair with your fingers. Make sure to lather up the weft part too—it’s important to keep that clean.

Pro Tip: If your hair lathers easily without a lot of shampoo, that’s a good sign it’s not too dirty!

    Step 4: Condition and Treat

After washing, apply a good conditioner. I love to use my fingers to work it through the hair, making sure every strand gets some love. Then, I put the bundles in a plastic bag, which acts like a makeshift hot oil treatment. This keeps the hair soft, hydrated, and shiny.

Step 5: Air Dry for Best Results

I’m not a fan of blow-drying my bundles. Instead, I let them air dry naturally. On a beautiful sunny day like today, I lay them out on a towel in the yard and let them soak up the sun. The result? Silky, smooth bundles ready to be styled and slayed.

Thank you all so much for your continued support! You all are the real MVPs, and I’m so grateful for this community that believes in Black-owned businesses. Keep supporting each other, and keep your hair looking fabulous!

While Indian hair is often associated with long, straight styles, it actually comes in a variety of textures. You can find raw Indian hair in wavy and curly textures, similar to 2c or 3a patterns, which give a beautiful loose wave look.
